Marriage Equality in South Dakota

On September 6th eight couples got married and six couples re dedicated their vows at Mt Rushmore, Shrine of Democracy It was a day to honor and celebrate our victorious Supreme Court win on June 26, 2015  David Patton, President of Black Hills Center for Equality, hosted his last event.  David has moved to Minneapolis for a new job.  Annie Loyd did an amazing job of opening the event and leading the couples in reciting their vows.  Readings were done by Vicki Urban, Amy Fox Brack and Nancy and Jennie Rosenbrahn. We were treated to a song by the beautiful voice of Liz Smith.  Lastly, before the ceremony began, Darren Thompson filled the air with the soothing sounds of his flute.  Later that evening a wedding reception was held at the Adoba Hotel.  Music was provided by NYX production. All in all it was an incredible end for Marriage Equality in South Dakota.  Photos curiously of Chris Rogers Photography.
