Black Hills Pride 2018: Location Announcement


Good Evening Black Hills Center for Equality (BHCFE) Supporters,

The Black Hills Center for Equality (BHCFE) is proud to announce more details regarding our 7th annual Black Hills PRIDE festival taking place at Memorial Park in Rapid City, SD on July 14th, 2018. From starting quietly in the 1980’s we now anticipate 2200+ attendees and their pets to shop, eat, and be entertained at our fun-filled annual festival. This is BCHFE’s biggest event of the year to bring the LGBTQ+ community and its allies together in celebration.

The festivities in the park will start at 10:00 a.m. and wrap up at 4 p.m. We will have entertainment, food trucks, a variety of sales and informational vendors, and a kids area.

An after party dance is planned and will be held at the Holiday Inn Rushmore Plaza at 505 N 5th St, Rapid City, SD 57701 starting at 8 p.m. Holiday Inn is offering a discount on rooms Thursday, Friday, and Saturday of Black Hills Pride weekend. Sarah Keppen moved from Sioux Falls to West River South Dakota in April 2015 for a position at Regional Health. She works full-time as an Application System Analyst in the IT - Software Services department supporting clinical software applications. Sarah joined the Black Hills Center for Equality (BHCFE), Inc board of directors in October 2015. She spent her first year on the board as the Board Secretary. Sarah is currently the board Vice President She is a fierce advocate for LGBT equality. When she is not supporting the LGBT community, fighting for equality, or serving her customer's technology needs, Sarah enjoys traveling, the outdoors, hiking, camping, kayaking, music concerts, foreign foods, and spending time with family and friends.
