Rainbow Promise Church, a new Gay Affirming Church in Rapid City has began meeting. Pastor Nussbaum  invites  all past members of the MCC and other interested parties to join him in fellowship every  Sunday at 1:00pm at Black Hills Center for Equality, 1102 West Rapid Street, Rapid City, SD.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

The Center now has a Dart Board on site. Come down and join our center Dart league and sharpen your skills.

This  is a Transgender Support Group. During this group there will be discussions about sexuality, mental health, gender identity, and other related topics. This group is run by your peers and Welcomes all who want to participate.

Hump Day Movie is a evening of Movie, Popcorn and beverage of choice all for a donation to the BHCFE. Movie starts at 7:00pm. What a wonderful inexpensive way to cuddle with a loved one and spend quality time.

Activities Committee Meeting. This standing committee meets on a regular basis to plan all events which happen at the center. If there is an event you would like to see happen at the center contact us.

This is an opportunity for our Transgender/Cross dressers to meet, network and enjoy some social time. There will be an area for those of you who need to change once you are here. We also understand that discretion is important for some of you so if you need a space to keep your belongings please contact center staff.

Just like the men’s social, but it is the womyn’s social, and it is held at BHCFE. It starts at 7pm, and goes until 10pm.

It is a lot of fun, and all women are encouraged to attend.

February will be a sock hop and Dutch Pizza Party Come Join us.

This is a social group consisting of men & women who have “been there, done that” and prefer a more laid back approach to life. They meet for cards games and good conversation, away from the roar of the dance club. Come join us and enjoy “The quieter side of life”. (Age 50 & older)

The Black Hills Men Social is held at various people’s homes around the area.

It is a friendly get together for gay men in the area to meet and visit and share some food and drink. We like to hold these meetings in a person’s private home.
