Congratulations Shaun on becoming our Grand Prize Winner for the Sweet Heart Raffle. Shaun held the Winning Ticket which landed him a prize package valued at close to $2,000.00.  With the over whelming response of the local business community BHCFE was able to offer in addition to the Date Night for 2 for an entire year Grand Prize package, 19 other runner up prizes.

Rainbow Promise Church, a new Gay Affirming Church in Rapid City has began meeting. Pastor Nussbaum  invites  all past members of the MCC and other interested parties to join him in fellowship every  Sunday at 1:00pm at Black Hills Center for Equality, 1102 West Rapid Street, Rapid City, SD.

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”

A treatment feels like a wonderful glowing radiance that flows through and around you. Reiki treats the whole person including body, emotions, mind and spirit creating many beneficial effects that include relaxation and feelings of peace, security and wellbeing. Many have reported miraculous results.

Join the center pool league. New to the center is a tournament pool table. Come shoot some pool away from the hustle and bustle of the local pool hall, We feature a smoke free, alcohol free environment.

The Center now has a Dart Board on site. Come down and join our center Dart league and sharpen your skills.

This  is a Transgender Support Group. During this group there will be discussions about sexuality, mental health, gender identity, and other related topics. This group is run by your peers and Welcomes all who want to participate.

Greater Black Hills Regional Advisory Committee. Meets to do local planning related to HIV prevention and education for the 9 county Greater Black Hills Region. Alternate locations for the meetings between VOA BHCFE and DOH. Contact the center for location.
